Terry Sweeney (1968)

Welcome to the new and more robust MoVal-High web Site.

Moreno Valley "The Early Years!!

When I started all of this it was just a simple personel, one page site for the exchane of family photos. Well, one thing led to another and with a olser sister in the first graduating class and a younger sister in the class of 73, it did not take long to extend it to those years. My lil sis is gone now an, I wanted a way to honor her and not forget her. I also had HS friends who have passed, so I decided to honor them as well. Next, being a veteran, well I wanted to honor them. My labor of love has taking on a life of its own and now I present you with this site.

You will notice first off that it does not reference my class directly or indirectly, as it is now:

"Our Site, MoVal "the Early Years!!"

It is for the the first ten years Of Moreno Valley High School, from 1966 - 1975. These forums are for you. Please press "Post Response" to participate in the discussion. I will use the power of this new site to promote Reunions not just for my class but any class or combinations of classes that wish to have reunions. I have participated in several reunions and have had successes. I understand what drives a successful reunion and have pages of notes to protect against the pitfalls. I share thes as I do this site - freely!!!

Geez, I remember those very first days at MVHS. No grass, no trees...cafeteria wasn't completed yet, the gym wasn't done...dirt, dust and hot wind...But, it was ours and we didn't have to go to Poly any more! And, I have to say, getting away from Allesandro and Mr. Remy's paddle was a blessing. Of course sticking Mr. Mendiola's Izetta in the wood shop was always fun too.

What a great website. Thanx Terry!
I am looking to see if anyone can scan a copy of my graduation pic. My ex-wife threw out all my yearbooks. Since I went to 5 high schools, I was never @ one that long. Makes it hard to remember names and faces. And being 56 years old doesn't help either!
So if anyone has the 1970 yearbook and can scan some pics for me, that would be awesome! Any and all you think I would like, including one of your pics too! Thanx in advance and once again thank you Terry for this wonderful site! Jim Fortunato, 1970
