In Memory

Jake Funk - Class Of 1968 VIEW PROFILE

You were my friend and classmate, I am proud that I had the opportunity to share with you those years gone by, you will always be loved and remembered on this site and in all of our hearts, rest in eternal sleep, Your smiling face will always be remembered.

Jake called me before he passed and told me he had not long. He said it would be caused by his lifestyle of heavy drinking and partying playing music.  We talked hours on end of our times at Alessandro and at Moreno Valley High. We talked about how I was his campaign manager for school, which I had forgotten all about (I guess had he won then I probably would have. He enjoyed the band and especially music.  He asked if I could find his wife Vickie Schmidt. To let her know that he still loved her and asked for her forgiveness.  Sadly, I was not able to locate her but promised he would not be forgotten on the website. Sleep in eternal rest and walk the halls of Vallhala of all those who have preceded you.

Wow I remember going to Honor Choir rehearsals with Jake. He was so much fun to be around and so musically talented. The pipe organ in his house spoke to his talent.
