I spent my first three years of high school at Moreno Valley. I was an Air Force brat and dad was transfered to Northern Michigan at the end of my junior year. I graduated from a school smaller than my class at Moreno Valley. Not a very memorable senior year. I sure missed Sunnymead, especially while shoveling snow in ten below weather. I worked a couple of years and joined the Marine Corps in 1974. I thought about getting out in '78 and ended up staying for twenty, retiring in 1994. Decided to go back to school and graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2001.
I took a job as lead teacher in the county juvenile detention center for two years and transferred to take the lead in the county alternative high school where I developed the curriculum for all classes and was the only teacher for the first four years. I retired again from the state retirement system Feb 2016 and am still raising grandkids with my wonderful wife of 36 years.
