Lizz Mehegan (1974)

Jim died in 2004, and even though it has been almost five years since he died, I still really miss him. Jim did go out in a manner most fitting him... doing what he loved doing and in one of his favorite places on Earth. White water kayaking on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. Jim was on a 226 mile kayaking trip down the river and almost made it to the end. He suffered a massive heart attack and died at mile 206. At the time of his death, Jim, who had earned his PhD in geology from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, was a geology professor at R.C.C. and loved teaching. If you would like to share any thoughts on Jim, please go to www.legacy.com and put in a search for James Mehegan and it will take you to the online guestbook maintained in his memory.
