Larry Morgan - Class Of 1967 VIEW PROFILE

Larry Morgan

As reported by his sister, Miki (class of 69)

As a young boy, he was hit by a car and suffered a severe brain concussion. He was so sweet, but so unsure of himself. Classmates picked on him and did really hurtful things. It continued when he joined the service. He was an incredible artist! He was an unselfish, kind loving man and I was lucky to be his sister. I miss him greatly.

I remember Larry from an art class with Mr "D", while I was playing with pen and ink Larry was really putting out some nice drawings and paintings. I drew a landscape and he helped (showed how to make trees look more like trees!) Relizing from him I was no artist, I transferred to woodshop (which I was much better at!)

You are gone now my friend from the past but you are not forgotten and will be remembered as long as there are memories!

Larry was a good person, pure and simple, and I was lucky to know him in high school. Micki's comments above caused me to reflect on the harsh reality of how we judge people by appearances and not by "the content of their character". This is especially true in high school. Over the years when I have thought of Larry it has always been with a smile, and this is something that those who never bothered to get to know him will never experience. Bless your heart, Larry.
