Mr. Barbee, Coach Barbee was a positive role model for me and I could never say anything negative to him, When he helped out in football practice he would only help me to become better. Often when I felt like quitting, he was there to remind me that a choice like that could stick with me all my years, that it would be life altering. Well I stuck with it and look back on those days of hell as nothing compared to what Life has thrown at me. I have looked at all my coaches as positive role models and I am here today because of the contact I had with them -- They would never let me quit, but face the world with them silently behind me!

Sorry to hear Mr. Barbee passed away.  Great guy and he really made a difference in my life.  Encouraged me to join the Marines...which I did...and it was probably the smartest thing I've done.  Got a lot of great training and travel...and learned skills that got me great jobs in fascinating places.  Thanks Mr. Barbee!
