Mr. Jose Carrio VIEW PROFILE

As reported by his son, Carlos,

My father taught Spanish at Moreno Valley high from 1966-1976. He retired in June of 1976 and within one year a second heart took his life. He was loved by many students for his caring, compassionate nature. He was funny, witty and kind. He had incredible resilience all through his life. He is my hero and inspiration to never give UP!!!!

He is survived by his wife, Josephine Carrio (deceased), 3 sons Carlos, Segundo, Jose Jr., 2 daughters Ana Johnson (deceased), Emelina Rincon.

A special note from Terry Sweeney, as the many who, 'Paso Por Aqui' (Passed this way...) can not be better. Mr Jose Carrio, not only taught Spanish but was a role model not just to his kids but all who passed this way.  I am sure he is now at home in the 'Halls of Valhalla' teaching us Spanish and giving us lessons in life on how to be better person.

I was very fascinated with his teaching and thick accent when I took his class. His son Carlos was my friend. RIP, Mr Carrio. Take care Carlos. Sami.
