In Memory

Nanetta "Nan" Kinchen - Class Of 1972

"Nan," was a"Val" girl through and through. Like the sign on Inscription Rock in New Mexico that reads,'Paso Por Aqui' (who passed this way) has passed on May 26th 1979 in LaMission, Mexico on her way to Hussongs in a car accident. I still get emails 36 years later from people she knew that did not know she died.  -- Gary Kinchen

Dear sweet Nan, rest in internal sleep in the "Val," you knew so well, your spirit is well remembered and cared for by those who knew and loved you. Surely life is that much dimmer as your candle went out, so we light a new one to honor you, dear sweet soul.

I did not know that she had passed. My prayers are with the family. When I was in the Navy I would stay every weekend with the Kinchen family, they treated me like one of their own. Love, Simon Gasca '67

I remember Nanetta so well , she was in my classes and I lived around the corner from the Kinchen's before I moved to Edgemont. She was very popular and she would make me laugh with her funny sense of humor. I did hear about her passing in 1979 from a friend of mine that knew her also.To young and full of life but your in GODS loving hands now and will be remembered always by alot of us that went to school with you. Shirley Byron (Clark).
