Phillip Keith Patten

As reported by his sister Cindy Patten DeBoer

Phillip Keith Patten ('75)

Keith passed away on Dec. 18 2009 at the young age of 52. He lived a very good life and had a very successful career and two amazing children that he loved with everything he had. He graduated from MVHS in 1975. He always had a lot of interest in many different things. One of his passions was riding and racing dirt bikes. He even made some money at it. He had a very good job in the trucking industry. He started out as a driver for Con-Way freight and then he went in to a management position at Con-Way freight. He worked there for 26 years and he was very good at running one of the companies largest service center. In 2000, he was injured pretty bad in a dirt bike accident and he was not expected to make it. He was in a coma for 7 days and he woke up and started on the road to recovery. He bounced back from that and he did pretty well. Keith and I were always very close and he was the best brother a girl could ask for. He was amazing and I miss him everyday. When he got sick, we were lucky enough to be able to spend everyday with each other. He was always a very strong person and he stayed that way up till it was time for him to go. My brother first, my friend second, my hero always. I love you K.P.

Survived By: Keith is survived by his son Jeff and his daughter Kristi. His Mom (Bert) his sister Cindy and Bryan his brother in law. Aunts and uncles, cousins and his extended family.
