Comments:

After graduating from Johns Hopkins University in 1979, I worked for a brief period with terminally ill and amputee patients, with a children's book publishing firm, and in advertising before I found my calling in educational counseling. I have had the pleasure of working with high schools in California, Massachusetts and now Vermont. Additionally, I have served as assistant director for Upward Bound and for the Escondido Education Compact. Over the years, I have taught classes in school success, foundational math, college readiness, and ethics in both community colleges and high schools. I am blessed to have career I love and a husband I adore. Adam and I will soon celebrate our 15th wedding anniversity. We love being outdoors, traveling, amateur photography, really good blues music and going on exploratory adventures. We have been in New England for six years and I am still working on acclimating to the area and miss California immmensely, especially since the lion's share of all of my family members are there.

School Story:

High school was rough for me and I cloistered with a few really good and truly missed friends. I smile when I think of all of the great times with Mary Burns, Carla Hacker-Frelke and Tracy Winstead. I cringed when I think of the awkward crushes I had on Kevin Kellogg and Don Crager. I adored the humor and wit of Tim Blevins, and welcome anyone of his genious in my life. I have fond memories of Joel Pummel and Rick Frelke as men of tremendous heart and character who got me through many a day... and to the water polo team who also supplied a lot of humor and memories of green hair. I miss them as well. Special memories and well wishes also go out to John Teague, Kim Zanfirov, Tim Martin, Greg Zamets, Stephen King, Vickie Jauregui, Mike Sorich, April Brammel, Janice Brewer,Dawn DeCarlo, Larry Ricci and, of course, Kevin Kellogg. I will always treasure my counselor Vivian Marr who serves as my role model to this day. A special thanks goes out to Manny (Mr.) Pereira for giving me the courage and shove to get out of my comfort zone and reach for the stars. There are too many funny memories of Coach Johnson and Mr. Hacker surrounding both biology and driver's training. Lastly, I would still love to know who drove the VP's golf cart into the swimming pool during senior week. Thank God we still got grad night at Disneyland.
