Denise Proffitt - Class Of 1974 VIEW PROFILE

Denise Proffitt (class of '74) has passed and now is with others from MoVal here in the 'Halls of Valhalla.' She was born Aug 11, 1956 and at the young age of 43 passed Dec 4, 1999. She resided in Corona, CA. and is survived by three daughters, one son and eight grandchildren.

Denise played volleyball, basketball and softball. Starting in 1972 the varsity volleyball team finished undefeated.  The girl’s basketball team finishes 8-3. In 1973 the Varsity Girls Volleyball Team finished a near undefeated season with a 5-1 record. Coach Judy Gilman's varsity played exciting volleyball - the best that Moreno Valley had ever seen. And in 1974 the year she graduated the Varsity Volleyball Team Finished First. The Varsity Basketball Team had a 2 wins and 3 loses record, at this years' Play Day at Yucaipa Basketball Tournament. Coach Davis awarded Denise Proffitt as Most Valuable Player.  Denise also pitched for the Moreno Valley Varsity Softball team. The year book did not state how the softball team finished. After high school Denise went on to play softball on the Riverside Wild Cats traveling team.  Denise also sang with the Madrigals and Concert Choir for two years.
