Where have all the years gone? It doesn’t seem that long ago we were in the quad or the lunch room now it’s 2009 and about to be 2010……… I guess now we know how our parents felt.
But the question here was what have you been up to since 74? After MOVAL I went into the van conversion industry at the height of the craze in the 70’s and ended up running several companies under contract for many years.
(a side note here, in 1985 on July 1st the company plane of the company I was running at the time crashed in El Cerrito Canyon just out side of Corona killing 4 of the 5 on board one of them was James Heatly MY FRIEND and a 1976 grad of MOVAL, he actually took my place on that plane)
Then I started my own company serving car dealers on a mobile basis through out Riverside, San Bernardino and a little of LA counties. That ended in early 1990 when the economy took a down turn so I decided it was time for a change went back to school and became a field service engineer for Philips Diagnostic Color Doppler Ultrasound machines this lasted 10 years and I ended up in Mexico, South America, Turkey and most of the US, during this time I learned to fly and became a pilot.
In 2001 just after 9/11 I was asked if I would like to be part of Health Care Conference Administrators, LLC and run their registration department, we were running an average of 45+ conferences per year and spent a lot of time in Washington DC on capital hill since these conferences are mostly about US Federal Laws governing the Medical, Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Emergency Management preparedness and response to terrorism, disaster, epidemics and pandemics.
Then in 2010 we got tired of all the traveling so I have started working for myself again building custom vehicles and restoring classics.
