Charlotte Dengate Lorence

After I graduated from Moreno Valley High School in 1967, I remained in Sunnymead and went to work at March Air Force Base at the exchange. I then married Ray Lorence in November 1968, after he came home from Vietnam. We then moved to San Diego for awhile until Ray got out of the Marine Corps in 1970.
We then moved back to Sunnymead where we had our only son David. Then we bought a home in Romoland where I went to work at Festival Mobile Homes. We then moved to Indio in 1974 while Ray went to work at Kaiser Steel Eagle Mountain we stayed there where I went to work for Safeway Stores in 1976. We stayed in Indio until we moved back to Moreno Valley in 1982 where I went to work for Safeway and Vons because of Ray going to work as a Firefighter for the Federal Government.
I stayed there until we moved to Las Vegas, Nevada due to Ray being transferred to work at Indian Springs now (Creech AFB) which is a part of Nellis AFB. We remained there while I worked for both Lucky Stores and then my last employer Albertsons Stores until I retired in 2009 after being in the Retail Food Store industry for 33 years. We still have our home in Las Vegas.
Since then Ray has retired and we have relocated in New Braunfels Texas where we are living in our 5th wheel travel trailer near our son David, Shannon and our 2 granddaughters Brittney a Senior at Steele HS (which they are the Texas 5A State Champs Go Knights!!), also Haley an 8th grader at Dobie Jr. High.
I am presently volunteering at the Texas Central Life center a crisis pregnancy center in San Marcos and enjoying retired life and being able to travel to see my Mom and Dad in Sun City California and going back to Las Vegas to see our friends.
